The Franklin County Historical Society has partnered with the Cowan Center for the Arts for the center’s 2014 lecture series featuring “Characters of Franklin County.” 

On Sunday afternoon, September 28, at 4 p.m., society member Joy Gallagher will present “Miss Dinah Shore, from Winchester to Nashville to New York to Hollywood.”

The program is free to the public and refreshments will be served. 

The Center for the Arts is located in the old Baptist Church building at 303 Montgomery Street, one block east of Monterey Station, in Cowan.
