"Plantation to Pulpit"

Plantation to Pulpit: the life and ministry of Father Jones.

John Lynch, a local historian, will tell some of the amazing, life-changing stories of Father Jones, a wealthy priest who chose to live and work among the poor in Sherwood, Tennessee during one of the nation's hardest economic times. His accomplishments were humbling, inspirational, and sometimes unbelievable.

The lecture is free and refreshments are served. This year's lecture series, "Characters of the County", is provided in partnership with the Franklin County Historical Society.
